This is an excellent abstract. I would say the genre is really more about what feelings the picture evokes in the one who's looking at it rather than realism or being able to figure out what it is. In fact, a true abstract has no real point of reference. In other words, you shouldn't be able to recognize anything in the picture, thus it's more about how you feel about it than what you see. So this is a well done abstract. Some folks may see feathers, but not everyone will. Good job!
