In the Hanging Church

Our last day in Egypt included a visit to the Hanging Church, in Coptic Cairo.

The church was built on a water gate and it contains 110 icons, including ones of the Virgin Mary, Archangel Gabriel and St Peter.

It is also reportedly the site of several apparitions of Mary!
