I do like this abstract. I'm a little uncertain if the black bar on the right distracts me or adds to the composition? Without it, the focus would be on symmetry with a sharp contrast to grid lines with a graceful curve.
@adambralston I was thinking about the symmetry when I took the shot, but I retained the "black bar" to break the symmetry in order to add the tension to the rope - which I consider as a very black humour Thank you for your thought, I always appreciate it dearly.
black humour yes, a bit close to home for me, but I like the shot, the tension is all there as you say. (dont worry I had an even blacker shot but didnt dare post it!)
