Learning Still Life Photography

With limited subjects while working from home, feeling unfulfilling. Just had an idea, why not learning still life photography. Not going for pretty objects, that is not me, but for interesting juxtapositions of unrelated but subtle links in the objects.
What a neat new adventure!

Nice to try out something new - love the colours but am not sure if I get the link between the objects tho (maybe too subtle for me...)

All right: i was going to say that i don;t see the connection between the items, but I see that was precisely your point . So, mission accomplished.
Not sure if you already did this, but maybe a white board on the right side would have bounced a bit of light in that area?

@monikozi you are right, this is my first try. I will need add reflector to balance the light, still life is my weak point, I hope that in the next few weeks that I can improve. Thank you so much for your comment and suggestions.

A great way to deal with being stuck at home. Thank you for the tip about the tie being just dead. I like this composition. Fav
