Taken from the porch of the care home where my father-in-law is receiving hospice care.
It is in a beautiful rural setting. Through the window of his room, he can see bird feeders and the trees on the forested ridge that divides the valley the care home is in from a busier U.S route that is noisy and not as attractive. While sitting on the porch, letting my husband and sister-in-law have private time with their Dad, I saw a blue jay, a couple of red-winged blackbirds, sparrows and a starling. My view included this birdhouse. I liked the contrast of the birdhouse against the highly textured bark of the double tree trunk.
I am glad that my Father-in-law has such lovely surroundings in these last days of his life.
A beautifully composed and developed image. Excellent detail. Nice lines and textures and tones. A wonderful and touching image description, also. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice photo.
