Unless you were hiding under a rock for the whole of the summer then you must have seen some of the fantastic achievements throughout the Olympics and Paralympic games in London.

Many of our lovely 365 members live in the UK and I thought it would be great to highlight some of the the achievements, both sporting and photographic.

Here are some great shots from the 365 community that really capture the mood and excitement of the games. I watched it all and am really going to miss them. Leave your favourite moments from the games in the comments below.

Awesome pictures! Thanks Ross for putting this together.

I didn't get to go to any of the events, but I did get massively caught up in the whole thing, watching more hours of sport this summer than in the rest of my life put together!!! The atmosphere in London was amazing and I was lucky enough to watch the victory parade on the 10th September from the steps of St Paul's cathedral. The crowds were so excited, and I loved the builders who stopped their work to hang out of the window and watch :) This float had Victoria Pendleton and Sir Chris Hoy on it :)

It was an amazing summer. When I heard we won the games I have to admit I was among the doubters. 'We'll never manage it,' I thought. You know what? We more than managed. Very proud to be British, and extremely chuffed that one of my photos is in this selection. Thanks Ross.

Wonderful, wonderful - I hadn't realised how much I missed it all until now :) I, too, said I would be surprised but delighted if it went off ok.... well I'm so proud and well chuffed that it went so marvellously.
Great idea to post these shots, Ross - 2012 is certainly going to be remembered as one of the best.

What amazing shots! How lucky everyone was to be there right in the heart of the action! We watched so much of the Games on TV and loved every minute of it! My son was engrossed in all sorts of sports - was definitely a wonderful time to be a Brit :) Thanks so much Ross for doing this - brings back wonderful memories.
