One of the most special achievements a photographer could wish for is to make someone feel something just from looking at their pictures. This is the inspiration of this weeks theme, look, which will also be the first in a sequence of themes that together represent our five senses.
With a focus around sight and vision, it's a great theme for capturing eyes - whether it's human eyes or the weird and wonderful eyes of the animal kingdom! If you prefer playing with subjects, think about what enables us to see and how vision is essential for reading!
We're looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
How to enter this week's theme
When uploading your photos use the tag section (on the edit/organise screen) and insert this week's theme tag: theme-look.
Entry Guidelines: Photos must be your own and must have been taken and uploaded from Monday 7th August until the following Saturday (6 days). 5 finalists will be chosen on the Sunday afternoon (PST), then you get to vote for the winner.
Winner of the 'Critters' theme
Thanks for taking your time to cast a vote for the critters theme finalists. We are very excited to announce @gamelee as the winner!
How could anyone resist smiling at this little guy stranded on a rusty screwtop?! This setting looks almost impossible and as if it would only last a split second - making this perfect capture even more fascinating.
Vote for the 'Forgotten' theme winner
You guys did a great job with last week's 'forgotten theme'! We loved seeing a number of lost worlds, toys and items and especially enjoyed piecing together stories about a time when the subjects weren't set to one side.
It wasn't easy but we managed to settle on just five finalists - so now it's over to you to vote!
To vote, just reply to this blog post with the number (in digit form) of the photo you would like to see win.
