Many days I get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of LIFE that I find it difficult to find time for even a snapshot! I know it is such a simple thing, but if my mind is full of "stuff" I don't think about shooting until I am exhausted from the day and just don't feel like it.
So how about you lend me some of your minutes and seconds?
Post your favorite timed exposure shots (can be yours or another's); I need some ideas so I can slow down and enjoy the moment!
Here is my most recent; I'm really looking forward to what you have!
I am finding it difficult to slow down too and sure am trying to find more time to take it all in!
Taken this past week while I was on a quick trip to Oregon.
Not exactly what you asked for, (I can't do really slow shots in daylight with my P&S), but this is how I got more time back in the summer when I needed it... I just stopped it.
don't get me started... between craziness at work, the kids, the fact that my husband travels lots and works late when he's home, and this week the nanny is away... i barely have time to go to the bathroom, rarely time for lunch... and as for the camera... well...
but i do SO love playing with longer exposures... i have lightrails and landscapes, but posting this one as it's a bit different from the examples above :)
This is my last long exposure "experiment". I call it an experiment because I took it with my little Nikon D40, which I hadn't had for very long at the time. Anyway, this is my daughter's lightning bug in a jar toy. It's a very tiny lightbulb attached to a wire that randomly moves around in the jar. You cannot see the wire in the dark at all--it is very thin. Batteries are hidden in the lid. I love that funky plutonium color, which is pretty close to what color the light from the bugs is. :-)
Love All of these shots!! Believe it or not i have never, ever, ever done a long exposure shot YET!! ...This is my next Mission!! I have always wanted to ...and i think i love these kind of shots the most especially when water is involved..yet i kinda am afraid of failure...Im hoping to get over this fear..since i am stepping out of this box i have kept myself in ..Thanks to all of you and 365! I have just finally let myself join in the get pushed challege..and i am loving it!! Dont tell anyone..i havent done this yet!! he he he ...:)

I guess this one, because it's a little bit different?
