Doing the Happy Dance!! new camera

April 21st, 2016
Pretty excited we just received our Nikon D610 - crossed over to the full frame now.
I know this one is lower on the range of full frame cameras but the reviews have been great except for low light - higher ISO and video. I don't use it for video and I typically stay under 1000 ISO. It will be a shared camera between myself and my husband and will primarily be used for portrait work/business. I knew I had a full frame 50mm and 75-300 but I thought my 85 was for a cropped sensor and it is actually a full frame lens too so I'm glade I have 3 lenses for it.

@myhrhelper I think you'll love it. And I've not had any issues with higher ISO that can't be smoothed out in Lightroom. Those are great lenses too -- enjoy!

@myhrhelper for me, it's like getting new drums, or cymbals, or microphones, or synths… Mmm.

Also, I see you upgraded *from* a D7000, yes? That's what I'm using at the moment – what are the key differences you have noticed between the D7000 and the D610?
