I absolutely love the night scenes! I'm hoping to do more this year. It seems like every time I had a good opportunity for one I didn't have my tripod. Here are some of the results:
I took this photo in a dark house and I'm pretty proud as I have only just today figured out how to do it! (This is also my first time sharing in a thread so I apologize in advance if there is no photo when you see this message haha!)
@aleksandra Pretended it's daytime :) when you shoot the moon, the light is so bright that you're tryin to capture that it's best to use standard settings like you would on a sunny day.
I have just discovered the power of the ISO. Crank up the ISO (800 and above) and the camera sees things that the naked eye doesn't, watch out for camera shake, need a steady hand or tripod or surface to hold camera still.
Canal boats
i guess this was a low light situation? it was long exposure!
This one was taken on new years eve during fireworks :)
Seems so frivilous especially when compared to the church scene above.
k-9 training demonstration. Taken at a town festival over the summer.
The sky wheel in Niagara Falls~
Light painting~
I am very keen to experiment with this technique more this year though.
@webfoot @sdpace I am amazed at the moon shots, have always struggled with the right settings to capture that sort of clarity
Found another two!!
Two so far on here, I have many more in my collection!
