I thought that @debrac was doing the words of the month for 2014? It is good to get involved in themes like this, but how many words for the day do we need? Not trying to step on creativity, only trying to keep things from getting too confusing.
@chapjohn well I'm new to this challenge and i was looking for online inspiration but all the other month changelings had selfies and i don't really want to do that prefer being behind the camera and wanted to see what others would come up with. so this was all i could think of in following the people doing the same challenge.
It would be my first challenge and I'm looking forward to it. I have some ideas already... And some things might be tricky, but thats why it's called a challenge!
@heidibirch The January words do not have selfie's in the list. I would not expect selfie's to be part of any future list either. However, each person is creative and may choose to include themself in an image (not my preference).
My son challenged me to an alphabet challenge. He is on here too @vitaminK and hasn't posted much if at all since he got married in July due to time constraints - hoping it gives him a little boost. We are starting on Saturday with A and will work though the alphabet - so a nice little 26 day challenge.
@heidibirch Ok I'm in, I like your word list, I'm new to all this too, The jan word list tag is jan14words, I'm sure they'll continue with that same pattern, i.e.: feb14words, etc... so now the big question is how do we tag your list? or did you mention it already and I missed it in the thread...
@chapjohn Thanks John. I am the one hosting the monthly word lists this year. If anyone would like to jump in here is the list: 2014: Jumpin-4-January . I will start the nominations for February on 1/24/14 and try to have them compiled and the February list out sometime Thursday 1/30/14.
@dezkl Welcome to 365! Many of the challenges will give you the motivation and inspiration to improve your skills. I am pleasantly surprised at how far I have come since last year. Good Luck!
New to 365, I've been doing some of the jan14words when I can, but most days so far has been spontaneous. I like the daily word challenges for inspiration though.
This is my first challenge and I like it. I am fairly new and struggling a little bit to keep up as I haven't felt a lot of inspiration lately, so this will be perfect. And I will admit that since I am new I may not understand all of the subtle nuances here, but if people don't care for the challenge as it is presented (ie: Feeling that is is too close to other challenges or a theme they don't like.) can't they just move on to a challenge they do like? Thanks Heidi.
@heidibirch Welcome to 365, I only started on NYD and i'm finding it great fun, getting lots of advise from my followers and people commenting on my photos.
As John and Nada (@chapjohn @nadaa) have said the challenge Debra (@debrac) runs is great fun. I'm not adhereing to the date but i'm using whichever fits. I'm loving the challenge of using a random word and fitting it into my days activites. So far so good.
I'll try & this will be my 1st photo challenge so let's see what happens. Do I get it right that I should tag each of my photos for this challenge with: FebMotivation14 ?
I might join in too as I've been struggling. I don't know if I'll follow the list every day or just use it when I have no ideas, I'll see how it goes. This is my day 1 for colour
Is there a way to search tags so that we don't have to actually all 'follow' each other? I am not sure how to see all the participants photos in one place.
Just letting you know I'm still in on the challenge and taking my pictures. I am not uploading them due to an issue with my internet at home. They have a tech scheduled to come out.... and I will post photos then. (Posting this from work on the sly.)

Sorry Heidi: I don't know how I missed this all monyour post. I really like the challenge of many of these words. I am going to try some of them soon. Sorry I missed it for February, I would have done these in addition to the feb14words list.
@jankoos I just recently finished an alphabet challenge. It was fun and crazy at the same time trying to find pictures, especially for the unique letters.
