Post your fave portraits.... may it be a slefie, animal portrait, babies, fashion whatever... i just wanna see how y'all work with portraits... there are lots of good portrait photogs here on 365 i know... i'll share some.. =)
awesome thread!
I started with portraits...got burned out on portraits. Thought I'd never take another portrait again as long as I lived....now I'm shooting weddings and find myself taking more and more...yep you guessed it....portraits in my 365. Selfies too, which is crazy since I'd never even attempted that before.
Here's some I'm proud of.
That's a lot...lol. Hope it's not too many. Didn't mean to overload the thread ;)
@amyhughes you always have this whimsical feeling on your photos... you always deliver and that i love! =) i personally faved that photo at the top most.. =)
I am new and learning - but this is where I'm at so far. If anyone has any suggestions as to what I could have done differently or better - please say!
@edpartridge A REMAKE!! that's sooooooooo cool!!! =)
@robinwarner and you! yes you... one of the best portrait photographers i've seen here... =) i love the weird guy you posted, the one whose holding a banner and that bottom photo.. =)
Thank you!!!! That one was so much fun to dress up for @nanascraps and btw, your portraits are great!! Especially the compositions. The puppy one is sooooo cute :)
I don't have much experience with portraits - mine are all my kids and my man. Looking to branch out soon - I need new faces to practice on :)) Critique highly sought = both photgraphy and processing related.
This one made it to the popular page when I posted it, which is still beyond my comprehension...such a silly and cartoony photo. :)
I am by no means a photographer like most of you are, but I think I've got a couple good ones.
I LOVE this one of my mastiff Bon
And this one of my husband turned out a little blurry, so I went with it.
This is where i started my photography Portraits, I make all the people in the house as my model ha ha ha No fee at all. This is one of those he he he.
@maceugenio - ha ha ha you are definitely right. Not only families also friends, they are really willing to pose without talent fee. as long that you post it in Facebook ha ha ha ha and give them a copy ha ha ha.
Portraits definitely aren't my strength, but I want to try more of them. This thread is full of inspiration - you guys are so good! I mainly have just done my kids, but would love to do selfies and some of friends and family.
I always wish I could do something really spectacular, but I've done a few I am proud of... mind you, scannign through this discussion has given me heaps of inspiration! Thanks everyone!
My crazy nephew playing with my son
My son in a rare, quiet mood
Three very different portraits of my beautiful wife xxx
Ok, I am not a fan of this, but it received so much positive feedback that I had to put it up here... A Selfie.
Very pleased with this one as her skin is not good and she has numerous facial piercings that she didn't really want in the shot, my first real go at serious editing! Beautiful girl.
This is a great thread! I'm very new to photography, and working hard to get the technical things down. I'm finding that the more I learn the worse things get. Threads like this are inspiring and lead me to follow people I can learn from. Thanks! Here are some of the portraits I've done recently:
@lauracaseyfoss I adore your portraits; you seem to need no help at all! However, I do sympathize; the more I learn, the more I get overwhelmed, but have found that mastering one thing at a time works for me.
I just started so I only have one to share for now - and it's not even a person! I have some more that I haven't put up on 365 but I am not sure how to embed them so this will have to do.
i don't seem to do many portraits. . . but there's this
of hunter
my boy, evan, on bass
worst ever backround - but my 3 (cutest) boys and baby hunter (i think i'll try to do something with the backround now that i have a minimal knowledge of photoshop. . .to be continued. . .)
I really want to get better at portraits, but both of the objects at hand - the hubby and the dog - don't like to pose for me!
Here are a couple shots though:
I don't do many portraits but here are some of the ones I've done so far. I definitely need more practice. Most of these are from class and I probably wouldn't have a clue how to pose people without his input.
My friend Bobbie Lynn, who lost her battle with leukemia.
I just want to say that seeing everyone else's portraits has really inspired me to do more portraits myself.. Here are just a couple that I have done in the past :0)
@jamiebrook hi jamie sorry for the late reply.... on your photo, there's a "SHARE" thing on the lower right portion.. u just have to copy paste the HTML =)
Here is one of my favorites from a project I'm working on currently:
I've posted some of this project on 365, but here's a link to the full set so far in this project if you are interested in taking a look: http://www.flickr.com/photos/michaeloguinn/sets/72157625859258677/
I don't do a lot of portraits, but when I do they are mainly of my baby. I'm happy with the way this one turned out.. even though he has his hands stuffed in his mouth you can still tell he is smiling from his eyes
