WONDERFUL monster pics ladies!!
Now on to the next challenge: Have you ever thought of how crazy it is that the people on this site, or photographers and artists in general can look at the same exact subject in such a different way? That we can find one object, yet the photographs that spawn from our imaginations of that exact same object are completely and totally different.
I propose a weekly challenge! Each week, on Friday, I will name an object that we all take a photo of. Then we post them on this thread and see how completely different each of us saw that object! (and of course suggestions for objects each week are COMPLETELY welcome!)
How about this week we do...*drumroll please*....SHOES!!
How can you make shoes creative? Do you have a shoe fettish? (ok I know I do, is that sick?? lol)
Make sure you tag your pictures for this challenge "objectchallenge-shoes"
By the way, due to responses we're going to keep these challenges non competitive. We'll give kuddos to a few on the next challenge, but please give all the kuddos and love as people post on here as well.
Here's one from a little while ago.. This is a GREAT object challenge! I'm especially excited to see the number of converse and rain boots that pop up in here. :)
The themes are for anyone to enter, as you most likely have worked , so all you need to do is take a photo and when you are writing the description etc, under that box is a tag box..... so you will tag your photo for that theme. if its Ross's weekly theme comp then you want to do this.
'theme-hearts" as an example...
the side comps like this one shoes
you would do "Object Challenge-shoes" in the tag box..
and if you want to add it to this discussion . when you see your photo page you have all the details of the photo and then the words share..
and under that a code. copy and paste that code into the empty box at the end of this page.
Hope this helps.. and good luck with the comp...
So I took this shot for over exposure and then I was told that the object theme was shoes!! How convenient! Haha!! Anyway, I adore shoes... so this object challenge is tugging at my heart strings. =)
I love shoes.. but sadly since being a mom I don't have many shoes at all, I now spend my money on shoes for my son, and I have passed my shoe fetish onto him. He lights up when we go to a shoe store and always wants to buy them all!
@warmbreeze43 Hi Linda, the instructions are at the top of the page. Just add objectchallenge-shoes to your tags and it will be included. Here's my attempt :o)
Here is one I actually did the day before this challenge came out...but I wanted to show it off because I was rather happy with it! :D Maybe I'll try something else too!
As I walked down the stairs I saw my husbands very old and battered trainers which had been taken off in a way to leave a heart shape. As I was taking it's photo my son brought me his trainer which had it's velcro in an X or a kiss. I thought they went together quite well.
@amyhughes hehe it wasn't actually that scary. Jumping off the mountain was pretty scary but floating about was lovely. Luckily my camera was attached to my harness :)
here is mine, they are my best friends shoes. Couldn't walk a mile in them but they sure are fabulous! :) going to take one of my tennies later this week :)
My boyfriend shared his athletic shoes when the grass started making my feet, which were in sandals, itch. Shot taken in the fall with my LG DARE cell phone camera.
I really dislike my first submission. There, I said it. I have another that I am much happier with. If it's okay with everyone here, I am going to submit it. Thanks!
@thebluegnu Your silver and blue tennis shoe photo is so good. I can't figure out how you did it. Do you care to share your editing process? The photo could be used in advertising!
And I love the pics you chose. I dug the monster theme. Very cool. Great job, y'all!!
Here's mine, although it's an old one.

I was trying to reconcile both the girly sides and the tomboy sides of myself... This is what I came up with: Bullets, Pearls, and Red Heels.
Yes, these were mine once.
