I have to go with Mrs Sparrowhawk in the garden this week, just because it's taken so long to actually take a photo of one in the garden!
This is one of my favorite photos I have taken since I started this project. Probably because it was planned start to finish and not one of those happy chance things. It's photos like this that have me thinking I may just get the hang of this photography stuff - even though it got 1/3 of the attention of a flower I happened to snap the day before. But I get that. It's not as accessible when your eyes are running down the feed. .
This is my favourite! This year we finally went to see the forrest at its most enchanted time. It's all over by now but at least I captured these. Photographically, not literally.
This one because some times detail overwhelms me and this was such a simple subject. Spotted in a cafe, when not really looking for a subject and all the better for it. No editing either
It was very difficult to choose just one as this last week I visited some of the most beautiful places on Earth. However, this image of the hoodoos at Bryce Canyon National Park in southwest Utah is my pick:
I liked that the complex tone inversion turned out OK and looked somewhat "natural" and "at night," even though it was 2 in the afternoon on a sunny day.
I know this is technically a long way from being perfect, but I really like it, because I have been driving past this abandoned building for many many years, and finally worked up the courage to find my way through the barbed wire fence to take a few pic's….
