Well Then. by janetb

Well Then.

I’m working on my picture for today when my husband shouts, “You should see the sky!” One glimpse of orange, and my camera and I dash to the porch as a flock of Canada Geese flap by the only clearing in the wall of trees surrounding our home. Well then. Today’s post it is (with big thanks to my husband and the geese)!
You have more presence than me: had I been presented with this sight - especially the geese - I would have stood there with my mouth open and forgotten to take the photo... so glad that you didn't!

Don't you love when that happens! Nice catch!

@vignouse Thank you for commenting! I appreciate you viewing my image. I'm always in awe of the geese even though their fly overs are a regular occurrence here. There is a pond in a nearby pasture that they love. Their in-flight "Honk! Honk! Honk!" is quite familiar, and I love watching and listening to them!

@mccarth1 Thanks so much, Kerry! Yes, I sure do love when this happens. Quick as a wink, I had my shot for today. My husband often alerts me to beautiful, interesting things. He's a gem! Within minutes, the sunset's colors had changed; so I was blessed to catch it at its most colorful.

Gorgeous sky. I wanted to take a picture of our sunset when we were out driving in the car but the camera I had with me had a dead battery. Drat! LOL

What a prize moment you caught - the geese added a wonderful touch to the scene. I see these birds flying high overhead and find myself wishing them well on their journey.

@cejaanderson Thank you for your comment and fav, Jane! I was thrilled with the geese. They're back and forth quite a bit as there is a pond that they love in a pasture nearby, but their timing was exceptional for this shot! :-)
