The wispy, eyelash yarn of my scarf caught a little snowflake; and don’t I wish I could venture out further to try and catch some more? Indeed, I do; but I’m grateful for this one. Now, it’s back to elevating the Achilles with a cup of tea, a crackling fire, and a new book to keep me company. Every cloud has a silver lining!
I like viewing this image best on the black background.
Great capture Janet! I have never been able to photograph a snowflake and I love the composition and focus, but I love most the colour. It is just so soothing and pleasant. Great job!
Just beautiful, Janet - would love to capture a snowflake (need some snow first I guess - have to stick with frost till then). Like the tones and dof you used.
Very beautiful image. I didn't realize you were suffering with your achilles. Hope it feels better soon. What are you doing for it? I think I may have a touch of that too, along with the plantar fasciitis. Not fun.
@kategoring Thank you, Kate! I liked the unique shape of the snowflake, too; and yes, I am blessed to have a comfortable place to tend to my injury. I'm very thankful. :-)
@milaniet Thank you, Milanie! I'd love to go out and really practice capturing snowflakes, but I can't stay on my heel too long. Can't wait to get back to my active self! How blessed you are to be able to take walks each day. Enjoy every step you take! :-)
@skstein Thank you, Sandy! Yes, I've been battling an Achilles' tendon injury for 9 months. I currently wear a special boot and avoid putting weight on it as much as possible. I wish you luck with yours! Foot pain can be so limiting. 365 is such a blessing as looking at the beautiful pictures is a great way to pass the time and learn new things while I'm off my feet.
