I know my garden snips and gathering basket well, and nothing is safe in my garden! Antique bottles, crocks, and mason jars brimming with freshly cut blooms and branches adorn our indoor and outdoor spaces year-round. In late Summer, my big, old hydrangea (paniculata “Tardiva”) produces heavy, creamy white panicles, which fade to a delightful, dusty pink. I love them heaped in sparkling jars of fresh water on the porches, and drying the large clusters prolongs the beauty. Into my gratitude journal goes #7120: Crock full of dried hydrangeas gracing the sunroom with its lovely presence and memories of Summer.
Personal note: Good news! Although I must wear the boot for another 2-4 weeks, I can now begin to increase my activity a little as the Achilles continues to mend. After months of being off my feet, I'm thrilled with my newfound freedom. I have lots to catch up on, so I'll begin using my time on 365 for commenting on your pictures; and I'll forgo individually thanking those who comment on mine at least for now. Please know that I treasure your views, comments, and favs. Your support brightens my day and is so appreciated!
Very pretty B&W shot.. I didn't realize you were wearing a boot, Janet. I'm glad you are healing well and are able to move around more. My husband was in a boot awhile back because of a broken toe. He was so glad when he didn't have to wear it anymore. Take care.
Very beautiful photo of the hydrangea, splendid composition. Your individual thank yous have been delightful and natural. Catch up you must and continue to improve.
That is wonderful news about your Achilles heel - freedom is in sight! I can almost picture your jars of dried hydrangeas around your house - how welcoming that must be. A lovely shot here.
Hooray for the great news Janet. You must be so happy to have this news and more mobility. I continue to enjoy your project and your view of the world. :)
