It's Official

With temperatures in the 80s and cornflower blue skies, many of us Pittsburghers spent time outdoors this weekend! Mike and I put the top down and drove up to West End-Elliott Park yesterday afternoon to enjoy the sunshine and a beautiful view of our wonderful city. The Point State Park Fountain, inactive during the Winter months, now graces our skyline once again; and the sight of that 150’ tower of water means it’s official — Spring has sprung!

If you look closely at the Ohio River, you can see a line in the water. The color of the water in the Allegheny River is different than the color of the water in the Monongahela River; and as both rivers flow together to form the Ohio River, a line dividing the two colors is visible until the waters blend further downstream.
A great shot.

Very nice shot looking down on Pittsburgh - you were warmer than we were - we've been cloudy and windy for days.

What a fantastic and vast view. Interesting to see the two different colored waters side by side too. I wouldn't have thought it possible.
