I spotted this snail on the deck post cap the other day when the rain stopped; and all of a sudden, everything else I had to do could wait while I watched him glide along on his journey to who knows where.
He looked reluctant to continue on once he reached the edge of the cap with the next level down so close and yet so far. Eyes atop long tentacles looked this way and that for another route; but with no other options, he slid slowly and cautiously down the vertical slope with tentacles waving in their search for safety.
