Shadows

Only at certain times of the year does the morning sun stream through the foyer, into the breakfast nook, and onto the line-up of antique milk bottles above the window; so only at certain times of the year do I gasp as I see the beautiful shadows on the wall!

The shadows really come to life on black, I think.

(On black...YES!) I know what you mean by noticing "those certain times of year" when the light strikes something special For us in California, it's 9:15 on Christmas morning when the sunlight streams through on to the Christmas tree! It's not the best placement for the special day's photography, but it's become the family joke on CHristmas Day, and it's special in its own way...something we can always count on!
