A walk in Waterbeach by judithg

A walk in Waterbeach

My strategy to take Monty to the other end of the towpath than normal paid off mostly because we didn't go far enough to join our usual walk. He seemed to enjoy it and I enjoyed watching a different subset of feathered friends. I crossed off the rest of my long list of jobs for the week and rounded off a good day by going to see Mary Portas with @helenmoss amongst others. She was great - maybe the TV tries to make her look a bit aggressive but she was a very warm, emotional, touchy feely sort of person in the flesh.
I have here a swan (of course), a grey wagtail, a cormorant and some blackthorn but I'm not sure about the little brown bird - it had a very persistent Tweet Tweet call and I think @rosiekind has posted one in the past.
Super images.

Wonderful snap shots of your country walk......I hope Monty was well enough to go with you! I love watching Mary.....she is so sensible. I have just downloaded a sample of her book on Kindle.

lovely collage and how nice to see a grey wagtail (another one on my bucket list). The other little bird looks like a warbler - perhaps a willow warbler? Fav
