Exiting from the Senate House after graduation. I don't know what the official rank is of the man but I do know he is wearing a PhD gown. I call him 'The congratulator' as he greets all the new graduates as they emerge and looks delighted to see every one. This would have been a much better photo with the steps etc in but a big bloke in a T-shirt would not move out of the way and I've had to crop him out! Adam and his cousins and thousand of othe r6th formers are off out at their Leaving Balls/Proms or whatever tonight - big life events happening all over the place! We are off to Rachel's graduation in two weeks - we're lucky that Birmingham University has a very splendid hall for graduations - will look great in photos!
Both graduate and 'congratulator' look pleased and proud!
Some big endings and new beginnings happening in your family, Judith. All the best to Adam and Rachel...and their mom and dad!
A very happy moment indeed......I at first thought it was your Rachel when I saw the title but immediately realised it wasn't her day yet! Exciting days for all young graduates! Love the happiness here......all that hard work paid off! Hope you aren't up all night listening for steps on the stairs!
@judithg Jack is trying for a job in the holidays ......he loved it at Vue but not taking anyone on up here this time. He will be going to London in September will he?
