Purely a diary shot so that I remember when I look back. Kathy Willis won the Royal Society Faraday Medal this year and I went along with her sister and our friend Nancy who has long been a supporter of women in science to hear her talk. She is also an excellent singer and sang at our wedding - it's my claim to fame. After her excellent talk she was whisked out to dinner with the high ups in the Royal Society and the rest of us found one of those nice drink in wine shops and had a very interesting evening.
