We did a bit more 'vintage' shopping in Brighton which is hungry work so my sister took us in Bill's 'produce market' for much needed refreshment. It's a very photogenic shop and the waitress happily gave me permission to take photos. This is one of many counters - the 'silk scarves' are actually tissue papers used to wrap the goods. The strawberry chocolate buttons we bought in there were a life-saver later when we were stationary on the motorway.
My phone had very poor signal while we were away due, presumably to the South Downs blocking the signal (we aren't afflicted by hills in Cambridge!). Anyway - it meant viewing pics was nigh on impossible so I'll try to catch up over the next couple of days.
This pic is SOOC bar a teeny straighten and I'm also planning a Brighton collage as it's a funky place.
Judith, this looks a lovely shot and what makes it for me is the hanging 'tissue papers' , it's a great idea from the shop to display the wrapping paper like that. Well seen :)
Oh, this is just wonderful, Judith. The tissues do look like silk scarves. What a wonderful capture. I'm so glad you were given permission to photograph.
Oh my gosh...the shop of my dreams. How clever to have the tissue paper wrapping so beautifully at hand. This photo is simply wonderful. A total 'fav'.
