We set out for quite a long Boxing Day walk but with snow forecast, and the prospect of getting stuck out in the dark and cold not very appealing, we veered off at Arrington and joined the remnants of the throngs of Wimpole walkers. On the way out we encountered a lovely boy with his very nervous bulldog. Monty wagged his tail and was very polite and the boy told us that Winston has yet to meet a dog that likes him. Well I pointed out that Monty and Churchill were great allies and asked to take his photo. By the time we'd done all of this the boy's father had managed to manoeuvre his daughter complete with broken leg and wheelchair through the gates and across the cobbles. She was also a cheerful soul and was laughing about dangerous drivers. Hope they all managed a nice walk.
3 Good things:
1. Nice families
2. Catching up with Downton - a good episode especially after last year's Christmas trauma.
3. Eating less than yesterday even if it is all pretty high calorie.
Fabulous shot Judith and a great line "Monty and Churchill were great allies" , very quick off the mark with that one ! This shot is destined for the popular page and would be worth tracking the owner down to give him a print :)
Have just said diet time after Christmas! I need to lose about four pounds!
Monty & Winston what a great talking point! A bow on the lead is not very manly though....don't think Churchill would approve of that!

We tried to do wimpole the weekend before Christmas but it was bloody freezing!
Great shot.
