As I have a dog, kids and husband who chuck balls around the garden with gay abandon, planting alliums was not my best gardening decision. Most of them get flattened well before flowering but this one has survived as it's tucked up by Nigel's office. It had quite a busy background so I used my zoom lens to get the DOF then added a bit of Lomo for brightness. I'm starting a photography course next week so I'm hoping I'll be able to get the whole package SOOC before long!
I just finished a photography course last week. The first class left my head spinning, so don't get frustrated. LOL I am getting many more shots SOOC, but it will take a lot of practice.
Instant fav - this is sooo beautiful! I love the contrast between the green and the bright purple and of course the dof! Can't wait to see the results of your photography course!
This is so beautiful and great for the theme, enjoy your course, I really need to do one as well!!!! The alliums are great, and is one flower that I have failed to grow after one season, so any tips welcome.
You did a very nice job with this allium. they are lovely flowers. Too bad the boys don't see them! Good luck with your class. I am sure you will learn loads. BTW I have to work at the sharp in my photos too.
Love this allium survivor! It was just waiting for this perfect portrait. Beautifully done! And how exciting that you'll be doing a photography class!! I'm eager to hear how you like it.

Enjoy your course, I can't wait to find out what they will teach you.
