Had to look close to home for a photo today. Nigel is out wearing the dog out before our guests arrive for this evening's booksale. My neighbours and friends have donated lots of lovely books and I'm hoping there will be a good turn out for buying them back! I nipped down to give the hens their afternoon greenery - they go mad for grapes and cucumber and are growing happily. Powerz Dragon Slayer is still the only one laying and has grown ths splendid comb so she gets her photo posted.
What a handsome hen Judith ..she is worthy of her name !!! She also looks very healthy too I expect you are very pleased with her egg laying capabilities !! I wish I was coming to your booksale evening ,I love books !! Class tonight but I feel like a night in not more photographs tonight !!
@happypat Glad she looks healthy - I'm not sure what I'm looking for on that front - but they do seem happy - in fact they are quite funny in their ways now. Shame you're not nearer - you could skive class and browse books instead! I've got a great variety - just trying to arrange them now...
She is magnificent. She looks very pleased with herself and fancy she thinks you are putting this portrait on the wall in her house so she can admire herself every day as she lays her egg.
She is glorious and great crop of her face. I'm guessing the kids or hubby named her? I used to have a poor duck called Darth Vader because she was black and @mrjuggles named her!
Good luck for the book sale
@araminta I discovered tonight that her name is actually Powerz Dragonslayer (two words not three) and Adam is planning a middle name for her!! I won't mention Darth!
@helenmoss £90 - I'm delighted with that given it's a busy Thursday night (my generic Facebook invite resulted in two attendees - I did get the neighbours though - now we have double yellow lines we can only socialise with each other!!) And better still I've found another charity booksale to take the excess books...
Good luck for the book sale
