Sails

A new walk has been opened up from Cambourne (nr Cambridge) and my friend Linda and I headed off down the path to find Bourn Mill. The earliest records of it are from 1636 but it could be much older (though to be fair is has had a lot of tlc over the years). It has a huge beam out of the back so that it can be moved manually into the right direction for the wind. Fabulous sky yesterday!
Great perspective and lines.

Oh, this is very cool. I like the crop, the lines and the colors...that sky is a brilliant blue. Over here we'd call that 'Carolina Blue'. :)

I get vertigo just looking at this. That IS an incredible sky. We are stuck in a dismal slow moving drizzly damp low pressure system, this is quite refreshing. Does the mill actually function?

Judith,
You are a tease... you give us an artistic POV and give us the history which begs show us the whole thing. I want to see 1639, all we have here that goes back that far is dirt!

A very cool angle. I initially though it was guitar frets in the thumbnail.
