Light the way home by judithg

Light the way home

On my way back up the garden from putting the hens to bed I like the way the house looks warm and inviting and ideally the kitchen has family in it. And I never fail to appreciate how lucky we are when so many people have no more than a cardboard box to call home.
On another note I must get round to clearing that pile of leaves - and please don't view large because I have very inexperty cloned out a basketball post & backboard. First use of the Gorillapod - it's fab!!
Very pretty!

How I love houses lit up in the dark !!! When I used to go on a coach trip with a ladies group I always asked to sit on the window side on the way home so I could have a nosy in every ones house !!! This is lovely Judith & very homely looking, I can see someone cooking your tea & looks like a dining room on the right.Of course we will all look at this large because you told us not to !!!! I like the angle & the pile of leaves !!! Shall I ask for a Gorillapod for Christmas ?

Love the warm feeling and the leaves. Are you in Cambridge, MA. Or England? I grew up in Cambridge,MA and am looking forward to having memories elicited by your photos assuming it is MA

It does look welcoming, funnily enough when I was coming in from the garden the lights in our house looked the same and I though, maybe a shot. Yours is great.

@happypat Thanks Pat - yes kitchen on the left, dining on the right but all one big room. I like walking Monty after dark so I can see how people have things - it's a long road with thirties houses and they are all so different. Some you think, 'No!' and there'sone lined woth book shelves and comfy chairs and nice lamps and I think, 'Now that's the one I want!!' Gorillapod is fab - they do two sizes , one for compacts and one for dslr.

@lindilou 3 hens, 3 eggs/day (except that Betty was broody for ages and is only just laying again) - plenty for us and the neighbours!! Unfortunately a fox just got the local primary school hens - I bet that caused a few tears.

@luxvivens I love watching the hens taking themselves to bed - I shut them up safe and chuck them out of the nest box on to perches - EVERY night and they still try to sleep in the nest box....

Oh how comforting to be outside and see the warmth of the inside. I, too, love peeking into houses at night while walking by (no - not going up to the windows!) and imagining what it would be like...And now with your Gorillapod you don't need to lay down in the leaves!!!

Nice and welcoming but I failed to find your basket ball equipment! I like the low angle.

A perfect inauguration of the gorillapod. I loooove that starshaped lightflare and the composition of this!
