First of all thanks very much for all the comments and favs on my recent shots! I really appreciate them (especially as the magic monkeys seem to ignore my pics these days!!)
It was a gorgeous morning for photos today frost, sun, general prettiness and I managed to make a dog's dinner of most of my shots - and only a few of the failures can be blamed on the actual dog. I had a second chance for photos watching Rachel's school play basketball this afternoon. I think it would be fair to say there was a mismatch in experience and the blues ran away with the game! (Rachel in Green just behind the girl with the ball).
An outdoor shot can be found in my Extras.
I like how you edited this. I haven't taken any shots and it's dark again. On the plus side I did get an important piece of office equipment fixed today. Swings and roundabouts...
Now then Judith trying to guess which one is Rachel perhaps the one in blue on the right? I know she has dark hair but they all have here so probably wrong !! Lovely action shot & netball is a great game !!
@happypat Netball???? She's cursing netball because they stole all the good players !! Unfortunately Rachel's team were on the wrong side of the imbalance - she's third from left.
@judithg Ah well you can't win them all & sorry I mistook this for netball & now realise she is playing basketball...I am too old to tell the difference !!!
Cool pic. Like the retro look. Funny how all school gyms look similar - even from the 70's! I so wish we could have played basketball rather than netball.
@fueast And me but I was too short for either - and I couldn't hit the ball in rounders which was the other choice. The school gym at Lark Hill had a lovely wooden floor, pretty windows and a lot of crucifixes.....
@judithg Oh dear, I suppose Lacrosse was out of the window then? That was my favourite - although my mate at school was an England team member so the rest of us didn't get the ball too often. Nice boots and lots of mud though.
@fueast Lots of lacrosse in Cambridge - posh English girls and American boys often out churning up Jesus Green in the winter - I'm always a bit confused - no boundaries?? I'll be looking at their boots now! I suspect @happypat had better sport at Winckley Square - we didn't even have hockey which I'm told is a good thing by the touchline mums as they are even more confused by the new rules than I am.
Fun action shot! Sorry Rachel's team had a rough day on the court. But there are lessons to be learned in losing as well as winning...they're just not as fun to learn.
