Having been inspired by @ellida's beautiful Lakeland water/ice shot yesterday I went to find our urban version and tried different settings. I wasn't expecting to find my own icicles although there are big lumps of ice floating on the river so I don't know why I was so surprised! I've used Snapseed to add what they call 'drama' and I'm quite pleased with it although I'd like a bit of steam to go with the title!!
Yes I thought @ellida's water icicles were beautiful yesterday & you have found some too !!! Just like a bunch of jewels hanging there & that fast flowing water is frothing nicely !!! Snapfish ...I have never heard of that edit !!! I like the stone wall too Judith it is a pretty contrast to your fluid water.!
The icicle clump hanging from the wall is beautiful and such a contrast o the stone and plant. Almost like a big necklace. The water edit is very striking.
Absolutely brilliant! I've got lot to learn and probably should have taken advice on what camera I bought rather than buying it on impulse. Never mind - I'll see how things stand later on in the year with my finances and probably reinvest when I've had a good think!
Three phase flows are very difficult to model - I'd leave out the steam. Great shot though. Lovely capture of the different kinds of movement (laminar/turbulent you know....)
Excellent! With a little luck we only get a short opportunity for shots like these. Lovely contrast here, the horizontal flow looks quite torrential whilst the falls are gentle and sharply focussed. It's 'a good 'un' as they say hereabouts.
beautiful :) i love the icicles. i was trying to do some water motion shots the other day but i didn't like any of them so posted something completely different.
Fabulous shot! Very well done, Judith! You're making the most of your cold weather with shots like this. Although I'm worried about your hens that you mentioned on Pat's post...hope they're doing alright!
Brilliant - I see clusters of diamonds and beautiful clear icicles with flowing water and beautiful brick textures! So much to see that I keep coming back. FAV!!! Is Snapseed an editing software? Is it user friendly for a non-technical person like me. I only use picnik as of now.
