The first UK snow photo of my project and it's a bit of a classic tourist view I'm afraid - with good reason mind you as it did look very pretty. I'm a bit grumpy about my snow pictures as Monty was hard work in the snow - either pulling or refusing to budge and everything was a bit dull and grey. A good workout for the legs though as we had about 8" overnight. I have another shot from the other side of the bridge of chauffeur punters making their way carefully through the ice - madness - and they were all a bit to grunge coloured for a good photo so what was the point of that?! Hope you're all keeping warm and having fun!
A beautiful shot, our snow is thrawing slowly. Eva was alot of hard work on our walk, she walked a bit, fell out of the sledge face first in the snow (!) but was carried for the main part and fell asleep on the way back! I'm sure Monty enjoyed jumping in the snow abit!
Hard to imagine how you get such serene photos always with Monty being Monty on a leash. This is lovely. I visited Cambridge this time last year, and it was cold and clear.
It's beautiful. We haven't had much snow to speak of. I admire you for getting out in the weather and taking Monty. We all tend to be couch potatoes in inclement weather.
You have it all in this photo Judith , gorgeous building , beautiful trees of various shapes, bench, snow & to top it all that lovely graceful bridge with the little people on the top & the fantastic reflection !! Keep warm !! Our dogs always go a bit silly in the snow, sounds like Monty is the same !!
Excellent shot. I like the reflections and the composition with the building on the left. It was a bit dull and grey today - we could have done with some sunshine as well as the snow, but we can't have everything!
Beautiful shot, Judith - such a nice composition! Glad you finally got some snow - just enough to make things look pretty - not enough to totally paralyze you.
We had quite a lot of snow here too, 5 inches at least. I haven't felt like venturing out in it yet to be honest. I have brushed the doorstep free of it though ready for when I do!
@parisouailleurs Thanks Helene - you've made my day - my pics never seem to make PP these days - I know it's not what it's all about but it's encouraging when they do!
I spotted this picture as being Cambridge straight away! I live in Whittlesford, about 8 miles out of Cambridge and spend a lot of time there - but haven't got in since the snow. This is a great picture :)
