Actually I took this yesterday (and have been even lazier today) from the vantage point of the hammock. I have been sleeping very badly indeed as I can only sleep on one side because of my shoulder (not even on my back now) so I was trying to catch up a bit on some zeds. In the end I didn't sleep but it was still very nice. You'll be glad to know that I have actually done some work done today and got ahead so I haven't been a total sloth.
Funnily enough I nearly took an identical shot yesterday but not in a lovely hammock just an ordinary garden chair, I too lolled in the garden all afternoon ! We have to make the most of our sun !!
lovely place to sit under that pink blossom & I like your feet in those trendy , now what would you call these... pumps, trainers, converse, shoes !
A seat there for Nigel too !
That shoulder sounds very painful !
Isn't the weather gorgeous! who wants to do work when its like this? great perspective and your garden looks lovely - hope your shoulder feels better soon! =)
Well, at least if you are lying with your feet up, I'm glad the sun is out and you have blooms to look at. Sorry re the not sleeping. You took an amazingly well composed picture from your vantage point.
Lovely capture of your garden and I'm glad that you've been enjoying laying in your hammock. Sorry that you shoulder has disturbed your sleep. You have my sympathies as I didn't go to bed for 8 months before mhy back op because I couldn't get upstairs and spent hours awake in pain each night. Hope you manage to get it sorted out soon
I took a similar photo of my feet as I lazed in our summerhouse yesterday but posted it today too! I presume in previous years the hammock is used when the tree is in full leaf, what a lovely change to be able to look at blossom for a change.
@fueast Sorry - at least it wasn't taken today - but it could have been weather-wise. The problem is that the hammock is right outside my husband's office window so I don't feel I can lie in it too often on a work day. If I'm inside I can at least pretend I've been doing something useful. I did also do a bit of gardening today so I'll be awake all night again - apparently I was loudly grinding my teeth during last night's hour of sleep. Roll on Tuesday. I'm actually looking forward to that big long needle now!
@bpaquette That was very tricky & Minty was banned from getting in with be which is his normal trick - he contented himself with going underneath and rocking it which makes me feel sick!!
Judith there's a lot to see in this image, a stunning magnolia tree, your trendy canvas shoes (I think we've seen them before on 365) and check that trendy chimney pot out :) I bet there's a macro / abstract shot in the chimney pot :)
@phil_howcroft That chimney pot came off my granddad's house in Preston Phil. This year I might actually get round to planting it up - out of harm's (Monty's) way.
This weather is fantastic, nice to see you taking it easy. we decided to visit Jane in Cornwall for a few days whist the weather was so good. trying to catch up now
