I saw this huge bumble bee from the kitchen grabbing some nectar during a break in the rain. I don't know if they mind the rain so long as it isn't too cold. The flowering currant has been lovely for ages but is on its last legs now. Personally I know we need rain but I'd be grateful for a dry day tomorrow - I'll be in Norwich watching Adam play hockey and I don't want to be wet all afternoon.
You've caught the bee beautifully. it must be lovely to look out on those lovely blossoms. Hope your wish was granted and you could enjoy the hockey match in warm sunshine. Our hockey players are over the moon. After much fund raising, the club has just installed a new synthetic field and yesterday was their first game on the new surface.
