One of the older members of the family is unwell and there are tough decisions to be made by the family on their behalf. It's a difficult time and I'm dedicating todays photo to people who are suffering.
So three positives are more important than ever ATM:
1. I had a lovely walk and holiday catch up with one of my best friends.
2. Coffee, cake and conversation should never be underestimated as therapy.
3. There is filming for a new Spy Drama called 'Restless' underway in Cambridge so I shall have fun trying to find the action in the next few weeks. I know where some of it was because they had warning signs about cycle-parking bans and I took photos so I could remember to go back on the right date - unfortunately when I checked it was yesterday! :0( But it's still a positive - they haven't gone away yet!!
So sorry to hear about the illness of your family member... if we live long enough, I guess someone will be making those decisions for us... praying your family will have peace about those decisions. Lovely photo and dedication. I find reds difficult... not sure if it is my camera or my processing... yours turned out beautifully! And I am sure with you on #2!!!
@calm Thanks Cathy - I'm lucky it's not my decision but when you come up against the limits of a doctor's capability in these relatively easy times it's a shock. I darkened the shadows on this photo a bit - the red was pretty in your face!
Such a lovely image, Judith. I am so sorry to read of the difficult situation faced by some of your family. Wishing them grace and wisdom in making the best possible decisions.
Coffee, cake and conversation is a timeless form of therapy...especially when practiced with a good friend! Wine, cheese and laughter works well too. :)
Good thoughts to your family ~
Love the colour in this.
Those sorts of decisions are difficult & it can be just as hard watching others we care about have to make them.
Cake is always a good idea though - what ever the situation.
lovely capture Judith, I have an issue with reds as well !
We had such a decision with a dear old uncle 3 years ago and it was very difficult , so my thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. your 3 positives are so good to have, and the 2nd one is so so true.
Beautiful strong red, always gives us positiveness. Lovely shot with that underlying thought. Hoping this difficult time for your family resolved soon.
It is good that you are able to think of positives when you are facing such difficulties and I have a belief that out of something bad, something good always comes. Thinking of you and really love this pic as a wonderful tribute to your family member
So difficult to make the right decision & do the best for loved ones & as we get older this happens more & more. A hard time for all concerned so thinking of you.
Stunning red flower with beautiful focus! What would we do with out friends...the most important people to cheer us up & listen to our woes!!
Look forward to your film career!
@happypat Wish I could be an extra but they seem to have got drama school types. I so want to prance around in a WAAF uniform or some such. I've dressed up for school trips to Duxford and looked scarily authentic - if only they knew!!!
sorry to hear you're dealing with difficult family decisions, I can see you prowling around Cambridge trying to find a film crew - lovely reds and close ups
Thoughts and prayers with you and your loved ones. DO tell, what is your inspiration for the three positive things? Did I miss something?!? It's a wonderful idea...a good discipline...in addition to 365ing which is also good a good discipline for the soul.
It's a beautiful shot! Nice way to pay tribute when going through times like you described. Sounds like you have great supports! Wishing you all the best.
Beautiful colors and focus. So sorry to hear re family and difficult decisions. I like your 3 good things. I have a friend with whom I have been sharing a gratefulnesses a day via e-mail for about 8 years. I love the reminder!
Judith, I love the way your photo fades from the dear little buds left to the brilliant red slightly out of focus right. It's a great optimistic dedication to folk who are suffering. Hope your family will feel they have come to the right decision and that the path to it will not be too tortuous. I think you are a very positive person.
Love the simplicity and vibrance of this Judith. Sorry to hear about the tough decisions you have ahead of you. Hoping things go as well as they can at this time.
for some reason this didn't load earlier when I was on the train! great shot and I hope things get better for you...old family member matters are always so tricky. love your 3 things, #2 is specially true!!
Coffee, cake and conversation is a timeless form of therapy...especially when practiced with a good friend! Wine, cheese and laughter works well too. :)
