Last day of the school holidays today so we were out and about early buying school shoes and trousers. We've had eight weeks to do it in but hey - there's homework still being finished as well. And anyway the boy keeps growing. Just shy of 6' with his hair squashed down now and towering over me. Some cool artwork being produced at the last minute luckily. Emerging from M&S with bargain goodies for tonight's dinner the sun was working its magic on the centre of Cambridge.
Thanks for all of your support and comments of late - I don't tend to do individual replies as not everybody is keen but I do appreciate every single one.
Three good things:
1. Last day of the school hols (also counts as a bad thing depending on how I look at it but generally I think he's started to stagnate).
2. Remarkably straightforward school shopping completed, followed by coffee with the victim - other occasions have been followed by tears so that's definitely a good thing.
3. Rachel's made Ninjabread cookies in karate shapes (not actually ginger - chocolate chip) - delicious!
Where did that summer go?? back to school and not a tan to show for it! It's no fun unless you leave it all to the last minute lol Wonderful late summer English picture.
okay i like this 3 good things so i'm in.. get me positive vibes back (who/what started it?)

oh joy
really quite like the market stall, prefer just that, no church, lady looks great.
end.
I saw the word Boston to the left of your photo and suddenly thought you lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts. But I think that's not true. Love street markets.
That's a fabulous view, I can just imagine standing there but don't think I've ever taken the trouble to look over the top of the market stalls. You have a photographer's eye!
terrific colors. Oh I remember how much I dreaded the school clothes shopping. Summer vacation homework? Yikes. No wonder the states are falling behind
Love that market awning with the magnificent building overlooking the whole square...very upmarket market if you ask me, not quite the same as Bury market!!! Sounds a very satisfying morning & Adam all kitted out for school with out too much hassle ! What a strapping young man he has grown into Judith, you must be very proud of both your children.
a nice candid scene judith, the lady is perfectly placed in the frame , although her pose is probably not one she would be pleased with !!! Back from my hols with loads of pics to sort out and post !!! I even did a bike shot in Mahon !
