As we have no offspring at home for four days and Nigel worked a 22 hour day yesterday we took ourselves off to Wells-Next-The-Sea to air the dog today. It's a bit of a trek, especially when it's foggy and you leave your phone in the staff toilets at Fakenham Lidl, but it was lovely to get some sand and sea air action. Monty loves a beach and the cafe there does nice food and is welly and dog-friendly. A couple more photos will no doubt appear but we've been to the pub for tea so only time for this one ATM. We expected the beach to be deserted but there are obviously some half term holidays already underway and there were quite a few kids enjoying the misty dunes.
Three good things:
1. Honest people who return phones to their forgetful owners.
2. Huge sandy beaches.
3. Beach cafes with buckets, bunting, woolly hats and cake.
PS - Best large again - thank you to everybody who could be faffed yesterday!
Oh your eye is so good Judith, I love this! A perfect jump captured in time with the perfect composition & low angle. Nice work!! Fave.
Sounds a lovely day & you were in my sisters stamping ground so I do know the area a little. Wells would be lovely today & we have to grab these late autumn days while we can.
Must be odd with out any children at home!
@happypat A bit of sun would be nice but I like a winter beach - and it was more winter than autumn! We went past Walsingham shrine -would have stopped for a proper visit if we hadn't had the Lidl affair!
Love, love, love! Great tones and so pleased about your phone. Tbh, I tend to like to think that there are more honest people in the world than dishonest ones :o) xx
What a fabulous shot. I love the atmosphere. And what a great twist on your skyline theme ~ really excellent! Sounds like you, Nigel, and Monty had a lovely day at the beach.
Don't you just love it when all the stars align and you catch a moment like this?!?! And you get your phone back!!! Just curious, how many frames did you take to capture this?
Well caught. Love the scene. What are the 3 good things in your comments. Sorry but havnt been keeping up for a while and have missed the relevance of this, is it part of a challenge?
Aaaargh, we climbed over that dune in the fog 24 hours earlier, and bought bunting and a wooly hat in the Beach Cafe! Mind you the fog was so thick, you definitely had it better than us. Leicestershire half term last week, so teacher wife and schoolboy son on hols.
@seanoneill They wer every stalwart half termers having fun I thought! It was very foggy inland but a bit breezy on the coast so not quite so thick. I'll get round to posting my beach hut shots so we can compare!
