So Monty and I met Rebecca and Gloria for a walk on a morning that started with a sharp frost and developed a cold damp fog by lunchtime. Humouring my need to go back to Portugal Place for bikes and berries Rebecca offered dog-holding duties. I thought she meant she'd hold Monty so that I could take a professionally composed sharp shot....but no.... I get bombed by a pug. Good job she's the best pug of all time.
Three good things:
1.The direct route home when our toes are freezing off.
2. Up to 'L' on the Christmas card list.
3. Flowers from my first reading partner (helped by the teacher in charge but it was a very professional handover) who has made 15 months' progress :0)
PS I'm sure somebody can identify this plant - its berries are splendid?
berries .. look like might be skimmias. One of those plants where the female bear the berries .. but if you only plant the female in the interests of space -saving ... no berries.
@june@fueast Well I've looked up skimmia and the leaves look right. And I've got one that does the flower thing - sounds like I need to find her a fella.
Cheery red and green seasonal shot but the pug's disapproving face in the background just perfects the shot! Love it, my mother always had pugs and they are great little characters!
I did a double-take there, thinking I was looking at some pretty berries only to find myself starting with the shock of a strange little face looking at me blurrily.
