It was completely magical along The Backs this morning. Aslan would have been quite at home. I took a few shots with a nice lady as the 'focal point' and then she turned round and asked if Monty and I could be in her photos. Naturally I absolutely refused (I didn't really - she took a nice pic - it was better than yesterday's selfie!) Anyway - you may need to view large to see the beautiful gate at the back of Trinity and King's College Chapel in the distance. Another photo in Extras today - because it was snowy! http://365project.org/judithg/extras/2013-01-21
Three good things:
1. My beautiful kind daughter sent me a surprise canvas of 'Snow in St John's Street' - it looks great!
2. Chatting to nice fellow photographers on my walk.
3. My sister and her birthday flowers were re-united (not sent where I asked them to be sent but she was there anyway!)
Superb snow scene - I just love the way the snow has applied itself to one side of the branches and stuck there (same for us) and it gives a wonderful effect to the trees. Beautiful!
A beautiful gate indeed Judith....i must say your snow is very beautiful whereas our little bit is very patchy & slushy! lovely fairyland of trees! Is Snow in St Johns Street one of yours? Must check!
Beautiful snow trees. When you are walking in these scenes it does feel like a whole magical world. Makes you feel quite different.
I only visit Cambridge now and then and envy you this everyday world with its lovely sights.
nice snowy day shot...this bout of snow certainty has had a magical feel to it! it should snow more often, I swear people are more talkative and friendly while you're out! by the way, thanks for the shout out on the recent thread...made my day xxx
Nice one - you captured the snowy trees much better than I managed to. Did you see the awesome giant snow caterpillar outside the Trinity back gate?! And there is a snow Loch Ness Monster on the Sidgwick site that's worth checking out too :)
