I hope you've all guessed that she had a camera around her neck and was looking for photo ops - a woman after our own hearts... Another day, another hockey tournament and (aarrghhh!) another one won so there's yet another day away from school next Tuesday. I'm absolutely zonked tonight so I may be a bit feeble commenting.
Three good things:
1. My friend has just called to arrange a night out - she's on top of her (and my) Christmas promise to catch up properly which will be lovely.
2. Adam's knees are covered in bruises but nothing broken and his friend has probably NOT broken his nose :0/ - a rough game at times....
3. I seem to have lost a proper 2lb and not just imagined it - so now I weigh the same as when I started trying to lose weight ;0)
It is her hair that catches my eye.....love to have hair like that! You're right about the satchell......on my shopping list!! I once had the true original go to school one!!! Maybe she knows bike shots have been 'bagged'!! Well observed Judith.
All blondes in Cambridge & like Cherrill love her hair. The girl on the bike with satchel would have been my choice too!!
Are you on the two day diet... thought I might try that if you do well on it, Cathy is trying it too. Not quite sure I understand your wonderful logic!!!
Ah, Judith. . .I have just held my sides from laughing at "now I weigh the same as when I started trying to lose weight". . .the story of my life, dear heart. Great catch here.
Yes, I'd prefer the bike, rider, and bag...but your shot is fabulous. I keep looking at it to try to know consciously what I like so much. I think it's the leading line that takes you into the shot while the woman with camera becomes the person going in. I sure know that losing pounds to get back to where I started trying to lose weight feeling. Fav
I love the composition and the way her hair catches the light. The bikes are great, too. I see 2 people wonder if she's a 365-er. That was my first thought also. It's certainly possible!
I like these behind shots - this one in particular has lots of interest - the upwards look, the bicycle and the slim lady walking towards you! ( I only find fat ladies on the street!)
@happypat I did the 2/5 diet for 5 weeks and lost not an ounce!! Now the weather is getting better it will shift..hopefully!! Love your shot and that amazing hair, but the comments are fantastic!!
Ooo if I were there I'd be looking up too, first because I'm an amateur and second because of the grandness of those gorgeous old buildings. Love this, you take the path with her. Congrats on becoming the same weight, its my neverendingstory as well :)
Great candid shot!I love the similarity that the two girls bring -both elegant, blond and in black. That's the thing that makes this image very intriguing for me!
I thought the same as Darinka, the symmetry of the light-haired ladies in black coats really makes the shot--although I'm counting the oncoming woman as well. I agree that the bike and satchel is a great shot too, but I'm glad you captured this one as well!
a nice bit of cambridge life judith....love the fact that both the ladies are dressed similar and both blonde too...it gives the image a nice bit of symmetry ...gr8 'old school' satchel too
great shot and well done on the weight loss i managed in january to put on a pound a lose 2 inches in height after swimming everyday and doing dryathon for a month RAH
