Sadly not. The school won't be going to the National Finals as they got knocked out. But Adam did get to wear his new red shoes and they caused a bit of a stir. It was a good game with loads of spectators and it's been an excellent season so we can't complain. Absolutely freezing cold wind again at the moment so I was very grateful for the new coat - my legs on the other hand still haven't warmed up after about 3 hours. Feeling a bit sad because it's Adam's last day tomorrow before the GCSE storm - when he goes back after Easter it will be for a couple of weeks of pre-exam revision stuff. My babies are growing up too fast.
Three good things:
1. A couple of more days to revise instead of doing the hockey competition!
2. The Club Nationals still to look forward to.
3. Great British Bake Off Easter thing to do the ironing to. And there's a lot of ironing to do or our guest won't be able to fit into the guest room. I'll catch up later!
Fabulous red shoes indeed ...I bet you could see where he was on the pitch all the time....sorry they lost this match but other matches to win in the future! An important time coming up for Adam but i hope he enjoys Easer first!!
GBBO ....great stuff!!!!
@busylady Yes he's not happy that I posted this - I have assured him that it wasn't heading for his foot. I only had the idea of posting his red shoes when I got home or I would have gone for more foot shots!
Very cool shot! Love the red shoes...but so sorry they weren't the spark of luck needed for the win. Seems as though Adam and Co. had a fabulous season nonetheless. Good luck to Adam with his upcoming exams! And wishing you well with your ironing. :)
Fab red shoes! I had an absent moment when I read 'my legs on the other hand' thinking that most people have fingers on their hand...(Hope it's not something coming on!) Good luck with the ironing!
Fantastic but sadly not lucky red shoes.....cute though...the bake off was delicious, need to make those puff pastry custard jobs...ooo yum!! and the Greek plaited bread.............excellent action shot here Judith, enjoy your ironing I did mine this morning......such is our lot!!!!
Lovely colourful capture! Such a shame that they're missing the finals but, as you point out, something good has come of that too. Can't agree with you about the ironing though Judith! Personally, I'd consider having DONE the ironing and got it out of the way to be a good thing but not having it still to do!! lol
Cool action shot, though sorry to hear both about the defeat and impending GCSE's. I watched some of the Eastery bake off stuff last night - never seen it before, but I did enjoy, particularly the OTT porny commentary.
Great action shot shame they did not bring the team luck.Thank you for your comments on my pic's of Cambridge scenes, I have put a pic of Helen on not to be missed lol
@jewelsandbinoculars It's not a patch on the competition - lots of discussing 'rough puff' with the gay competitors and Paul Hollywood flirting with the pretty young women - it's a must watch!
