At the leather school in the Church of Santa Croce. I couldn't run to a handbag but I could take a photo of the tools. I think the area around Santa Croce was my favourite - not quite as madly touristy as some parts. The church is something to behold inside so I'll try very hard to put something together from my rather poor shots.
Fascinating Judith & I do love a proper leather bag....the proper colour too none of these fancy colours.
Love the tones & all the little tools & hole punchers....something about wood things , the smoothness & feel of the handles is special.
I bought a bag off the market in Florence when I went for a day trip there when I was living just outside Verona! Not a big designer bag but leather non the less as my handle on my other broke that morning. I still have the bag now 20 years later :)
