I couldn't decide between various pretty cows, my mad dog and a boy in lycra today.... Far too much taxi-service and not enough work time today - this long school holiday business is a bit of a nightmare - hence the late upload. But I stole an hour for a pleasant walk along the river with Monty - and he was happy because he got some hoop time and the chance to bark at cows - or 'big dogs' as he likes to think of them.
Three good things:
1. Doing quite well on the actual photo per day thing at the moment.
2. My camera being entirely smashed was only a dream (though we did crack the filter on holiday).
3. Tax returns submitted.
Your kids should take lessons from the lady in the back there... Get on your bike. I worry about dogs and cows. More specifically bulls which cut short one of my walks on holiday. It was just staring a bit too much...
@maggiemae They are specifically chosen - and were all over being calm today but did get in trouble a couple of years ago for storming the play area. @june The cyclist gave their (another one arrived before she did) backsides a very wide birth but rather spoiled my photo!
@fueast I know - they are cycling around town but drew the line at 20 miles to Huntingdon - I could have cycled faster than drive it on the way to collect though.
Marvelous! I would love to see a cow cross my path while on a walk!! That's not likely..but I hope I have my camera with me should it ever happen. Love this shot, Judith. I haven't had the same focus with maintaining a photo a day. My goal for this month is to a better job of it. :)
@peggysirk Well I just realised that yesterday's composite is a filler - I was just about to come by your way and see if you'd had chance to post between family excitements!
Have to say the cows spook me a little, which is not too useful with the frequency with which I walk along there! I went down there once at dawn when I couldn't sleep hoping for some tranquility, but all the male cows were clearly very much 'in the mood' and were just chasing around like lunatics after some very harrassed lady cows - not quite the idyllic morning scene I was after!
Looks like cows very definitely have the right of way. Are they allowed to wander free around Cambridge the same as in India? ;) Great photo opportunity anyway.
I have my hands full with darting bunnies while walking the dogs . I imagine if Annie saw a cow in the path she would keel over with paroxysm at the excitement of a chase and capture.
People of a certain age ....not that i put u in that age bracket judith...might say silly moo ... Gr8 bit of candid shooting... I am impressed with tax return done.... Not done mine yet...but i am hoping it is my last ever... As i have left the world of self employed and i am now a council employee ...hurray
