I think - crabs maybe? Anyway - at the harbour in Craster which is rather reminiscent of a Cornish fishing village with a circular, almost enclosed harbour with only room for small fishing boats to get in and out, and it's own working smokehouse. A nice pub as well but the least friendly one we visited - it has a lovely restaurant with great views (no good for us, confined to the bar with dog) but a loud and entertaining group on the next table were understandably put out about not being allowed up there for a drink at 5pm because the tables were reserved for 7pm. Obviously too much passing trade.
Wonderful mixture of nets & pots....all things fishing has rather a alluring look when on holiday, harbours & boats seem to go well with general holiday mode. We used to spend our very early holiday...pre caravan Scotland when mum & dad could afford a caravan.....in Newbiggin & Seahouses.
Absolutely ditto!!
