At the museum

I wasn't going to post another pic today but @humphreyhippo's gallery pic reminded me that I took some photos at The British Museum on my iPhone. The concourse never fails to impress.
Incredible iPhone capture! I love the perspective -- so much space -- and the contrast.

Almost looks like an Escher composition. Would love to see a full black and white with this.

Ooh, I do have to remember to revisit the museum on my October visit to London! Last time I was there, I only had a small p&s and no particular ambitions towards photography... :D This is a great iPhone shot!

You're quite right - I want to photograph it every time I pass through! Great angle here, the figure reaally give a sense of scale.

Great shot of it. @happypat is so right about all the little lowry matchstick people dwarfed by the scale of it all.

@jewelsandbinoculars It turns out that if you can organise the mould to get right underneath it's much easier to remove. I don't advise borrowing a pair of compasses from a slummy pencil case for the job though - I've been worried about septicaemia since I rammed it into my finger a bled all over the bath.

@jewelsandbinoculars Oops replied to your comment on the other pic!

WOW!!!!!!! very very white and NICE!!
August 11th, 2013
Something very surreal about this - what an incredible architect to dream this up. You've captured the whiteness very well without losing the people. Fun!!
August 12th, 2013
Wonderful architecture and you took it from a great angle. I like the processing, too!
August 12th, 2013
