September hedgerow by judithg

September hedgerow

Poor Monty was a bit short changed walk-wise yesterday as the weather turned so nasty so I wrapped up against the bitter wind and took him for a proper country romp today. The sun was out (mostly) and the fields and hedgerows looked beautiful. Sadly I have an appointment with a huge pile of ironing which needs to be done before we are buried under a mountain of flatpack tomorrow (Ikea delivery dependent...) so I'll have to comment later on this evening.
Three good things:
1. I splashed out on some elderflower tonic water (not sure I can really taste it - I think I put too much gin in).
2. A glorious afternoon despite the cold wind.
3. rachel back from her travels tomorrow.
Superb lighting, focus, and bokeh! A fav for me!

Love these teasels with the sun edging them - the ones round us are all a bit manky by now. Glad you mentioned the ironing too as I'd forgotten to get my son's school jumper out of the washing machine till I read that!

Is it possible to put in too much gin? Lovely lighting here.

Really sharp focus...love it

Fabulous light, dof, composition. I love the tiny backlit hairs on the stem. Fav

Beautiful!!!

Teasles are so good with their form and prickles to shoot! Hey, elderflower only works with gin! Good for colds, flu, ear, nose and throat problems! Those problems all disappear when you drink it with gin!

These look prickly

Lovely composition, focus and DoF. Perfectly titled, too.

All those little nobbles on the stems are so clear...you can never have too much gin! I think today you will be in need of a double!! Who is the poor unfortunate person having to put the wardrobes together? Do you know a man who can!!!!

beautiful capture, and ugggg Ironing, I would prefer to unpack Ikea stuff.

Love the light on these - they are really glowing! I have some flat pack bedroom furniture coming soon - can't wait to put that together on my own. The results should be quite amusing.

I think you are no longer in London! Love the not- thistles. Are they teasels?
September 18th, 2013
Love the lighting!
September 18th, 2013
Very nice - I like the way the light falls, and the shallow depth of field which prevents the background becoming a distraction

@maggiemae A lot of things disappear with gin.
