His and Hers

I went into school to do my reading thing this morning and found Caroline Lawrence in the staffroom. She wrote a very successful series of books called 'The Roman Mysteries' for junior school children and had kindly agreed to come in and do a writing workshop. Hot off the heels of overcoming my shyness to introduce myself to Bill Beaumont I was right in introducing myself to Caroline. And very nice she is too.
It's my neighbour's birthday tomorrow so a celebratory walk to Granchester Tea Gardens had been arranged. Here, good old granddad was exercising his grand-daughter while mum and grandma finished their tea - and very cute she was too.
Three GT:
1. Inspiring authors
2. A sunny day after yesterday's rain.
3. Working from home so I could start work just when everybody else is going home!
Is 3 a good thing?! Nice summery shot with the deckchairs and leafy trees - the figures make it with the child clutching her dolly/teddy.

Precious shot of this granddad and his little princess!
And good for you for being assertive and stepping out there with a self-introduction...well rewarded you were! Interesting...I wouldn't have thought you to be the least bit shy.

Love to see the young with the older generation like this.......a sweet picture with granddad measuring steps with granddaughter. Still some hopeful deck chairs out I see!
Your neighbour will be looking forward to her tea out, Granchester Tea Gardens will be a lovely treat!

A lovely shot with the old and young. I took a close-up of that group of chairs in the summer. Such a great tea room!
