Well I'm resorting to desperate measures to avoid fillers. I'm determined to at least complete January. I listened to a psychology programme on the wireless yesterday that said that environment is more important than willpower in achieving a goal. If that's the case, for my fasting diet the fridge should be devoid of temptation but alas I also have a boy who needs a LOT of calories to maintain his skinny self. Today is not a fasting day and I fear I may have undone my hard work (despite the theory that you can eat what you want...) That HP BBQ sauce is no longer - must have been there since we last had guests for a BBQ and I'm trying to remember when that was. I buy it and nobody eats it.
Three GT:
1. The cat vomited all over the kitchen before I cleaned it not after.
2. Monty's very smart haircut.
3. Google's page celebrating 255 years of the British Museum - reminded me of one of my photos only artistic!
What you really need is some Tabasco or other hot sauce without the calories? Desperately seeking temptation look. Like how the camera is in fridge. It is always dark in there
A good idea to put the camera in the fridge because you can't eat it... Seriously though. You aren't even over weight. You should put yourself under the stress my jean's buttons are under!
Go on Judith take what you fancy! You are not in an way overweight, I saw you fairly recently and thought you looked very trim. Brilliant shot, love it.
@padlock no but I've seen the conversations and have been meaning to check he date. Think I may be on the way to Washington at that point but I'll know for definite soon.
I've heard a lot about the 5:2 but couldn't even contemplate fasting. I've just accepted I am what I am and the size I am and either people can like it or lump it. I tend to eat loads of veg and don't eat junk but my downfall is chocolate xx
This is just fabulous! A marvelous idea, well executed!! Good luck with that diet, Judith, although I doubt that it's necessary. I so agree with the environment vs willpower sentiment...if 'it' is in the picture and I want 'it', my inner 5 year old rules. If 'it' isn't an option, my adult self can cope. :)
BBQ sauce is indestructible though - you don't need to worry about best before dates. You could put it in a time capsule and it would be dug up exactly the same as it went it.
The radio is literally right now telling me how fashionable it is to fast. (I think it might be thought for the day. I wasn't paying much attention until I zoned in on it). So you might be suffering but you have your finger on the pulse!
@jewelsandbinoculars Right know I could start on that BBQ sauce. Quite a few of our friends observe Ramadan - no drinks either and the last few seasons have been in summer when the days are really long. Don't know how they do it though they all recommend fasting.
@fueast Judith is not fat I agree......@judithg you look a little pixie face peeping into that fridge.....now perhaps your hand needs a diet!!
Great idea with camera in fridge........it should take a photo every time you go in there!!
I'm with @jewelsandbinoculars here: You really don't look like you need to fast, especially in this picure you look rather skinny. And this is from a person who has seen you personally, so no cheating was possible ;). Thank god I'm pregnant and don't need to count calories for a while...
A great shot and selfie and you look fine to me (he said smoothly). Love the banter about Ms Pendleton - we had exactly the same thoughts. Celebratory bakeoff was brilliant. Nearly wet myself laughing at Michael Balls 'Mr Blobby' and the mountain cake held together with 'sticks' :)
