I decided to drive Monty to a new location for a walk this afternoon - even if it does still have to be short. I took him to the towpath which survives wet weather pretty well but couldn't park in the usual spot so ended up walking up the road a bit to find a different way in. As that takes us further along than normal I blithely assumed that Monty wouldn't remember that he doesn't like walking along the towpath - wrong!! Almost immediately the brakes came on and I amused passers by by having to push Monty along by the rump. I had forgotten that the Lent Bumps are underway and there were too many cyclists on the towpath anyway so we did an about turn and headed in the 'homeward' direction - still with considerable reluctance. The weather in one direction was stunning blue skies and lovely light - in the other ('our' direction) it was so dark that almost all my shots are blurred. Ho hum.
Three GT:
1. My new reader who told me he hopes the course improves his skipping - he's going to be fun!
2. A lovely afternoon chat with a friend.
3. Being able to work in the evenings to make up!
The Brain Gym people would have it that skipping helps with the reading?! That's funny, Jinks doesn't like walking by water either. Like your shot with one inquisitive subject! And one collapsed!!
@lucypics@fueast@jantan@phil_howcroft@jgpittenger He's certainly back to being a pain in MY neck! He will at least happily walk other routes though I'm not holding out any hopes that he will have forgotten that Jesus Green used to mean 'hoops'!
Great shot. I was wondering if it perhaps was my son who was in this boat. But, no, he rowed and bumped for 'Catz'. And... won. Now he has to wait for his trophee (a hand painted rowing blade, paid for by himself... probably us,,,) for about 9 months... It was great, so he told us. Drinking bubbles, jumping into the River Cam (yes, even he sai it was a bit chilly) and the rest you/we don't want to know ;)
