I have dug my veg beds, planted my seed potatoes (6 - we won't be living off them), and dug compost on to the beds for the worms to work in. Having walked the dog along the river I sat back and admired the weekend's handiwork. I'm getting very adept at averting my eyes from the ironing...
Three GT:
1. Cow parsley - I love it.
2. A nice chat with another dog walker about photography - said he has a B&W dark room in his loft and we agreed that it's pretty tricky getting the exposure/development correct.
3. Sitting at our new garden furniture - with our coats on!
Indeed you must June, although it's not as far advanced here in Bedfordshire - obviously Judith's a bit warmer than me!
This is great Judith - the two figures are perfectly placed to add interest and stop the eye.
A froth of white....the cow parsley makes the hedgerows look just wonderful.......must go down ours to see if ours is out....not so beautifully thick as this though!
A very productive day Judith....I have put our cushions out two days running but not actually sat on them yet!
Beautiful shot, I like the focus and POV... I love cow parsley too, but it doesn't appear this early around here, I'll have to wait a while yet for mine!
Really lovely "by the wayside" shot (had the eye spy book as a child) cow parsley always reminds me of my childhood, I used to pick it for my rabbit and guinea pigs and when the stalks had dried in the autumn I used to stuff the end with dead leaves and smoke it!!! Great shot Judith :-)
The flowers are really so beautiful en masse! In English books I read about this plant alongside the country roads and it sounds so nice! ps... I hide the ironing in a hall cupboard!
